HOW TO GET GOD OUT OF THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
What to do? Baltimore Orioles fans figured this out long ago. When they sing the national anthem, it suddenly turns into a team fight song as the words, "O say does that. . ." are modified by a stadium full of fans yelling "O" in honor of their team. We can do something similar with the pledge. When it comes to the words "under God," just cry out, "under the Constitution" or "under law." It might just catch on.

I usually shout "O" (as in the O's), but the idea is the same. Then again, the chances of "under God" coming out of the Pledge are about as good as the O's chance of winning the AL East this year. Why do I always seem to find myself on the underdog side of things?
Who is "we"? And is the "we" in the second paragraph the same "we" as in the first?
Just asking because you could be using the editorial "we".
