Your editor has been a musician for many decades. He started the first band his Quaker school ever had and played drums with bands up until 1980 when he switched to stride piano. He had his own band until the mid-1990s and has played with the New Sunshine Jazz Band, Hill City Jazz Band, Not So Modern Jazz Band and the Phoenix Jazz Band.

We no longer have industry here in the US. So, to provide "jobs" for many of those who would otherwise been unemployed, we will put them to work harassing their fellow citizens. This explains the security industry and the prison industry. Just like the porn industry which has flourished in the destruction of our former propriety and dignity, the security industry waxes fat in the destruction of our freedoms.
Anything goes for a buck - except genuine hard work.
