LATINOS YOUNGEST ETHNIC GROUP IN AMERICA

New America Media - A study by the Pew Center reveals that the median age of Latinos in the United States is 27 years, making them the youngest ethnic group in the country, reports Univision. By comparison, the median is 31 for African-Americans, 36 for Asian ethnic groups and 41 for whites. The study also concluded that two-thirds of all Latinos aged 16 to 25 in the country were born in the United States. . . The study, based on a survey of 16 to 25 year old Latinos, also revealed that 52 percent of respondents identify themselves with their parent’s country of origin, while just 24 percent identify with the United States.
