Russia Today - Sales of U.S. arms have doubled during last year and now account for more than two-thirds of all foreign weapons sales, according to a report by the New York Times. Citing a new Congressional study, the newspaper reported that in 2008, the U.S. signed arms agreements to the value of $37.8 billion, or 68.4% of all global arms business. The jump came amid a 7.6% fall in worldwide sales, which last year totaled $55.2 billion. According to the report, most of the U.S. arms contracts were signed with developing countries.

How can we possibly be constrained to follow the corporate view on foreign policy when they're back-door dealing to take profit in any horrific circumstance they can foment? Unfortunately, the Republocratocracy IS the corporate view.
Is the for-profit military industry part and parcel of the current Military Industrial Complex (MIC)? And is not the MIC an essential economic for escaping economic depression like WW II helped FDR escape the 1st depression? Or am I reaching to much?
$37.8 billion doesn't sound very much for 2/3 of global arms sales. Sounds bogus to me.
Come on, EVERYBODY SING...
PRAISE GOD, and Pass The Ammunition.
