OBAMA'S TELEPROMPTER DEPENDENCE
"It's just something presidents haven't done," said Martha Joynt Kumar, a presidential historian who has held court in the White House since December 1975. "It's jarring to the eye. In a way, it stands in the middle between the audience and the president because his eye is on the teleprompter.". . .
Obama has relied on a teleprompter through even the shortest announcements and when repeating the same lines on his economic stimulus plan that he's been saying for months - whereas past presidents have mostly worked off of notes on the podium except during major speeches, such as the State of the Union.

He doesn't appear to use anything but his wits when he fields questions from reporters at press conferences, or from folks at town hall meetings. Perhaps he likes teleprompters for his more official speeches because being a lawyer and careful of his words he wants to be absolutely certain he gets them right. Regardless, it is all such a blessing after the fumblemouth we've had to listen to for the last eight years.
Amazing. He always uses a telepromter. He falls flat on his face when it malfunctions. But the Obama-bots tell us what a great orator he is because he can read his tele-prompter. If he's such a great orator, why can't he deliver the same stale remarks about his stimulus without reading it from a teleprompter?
But, then the Obamabots always fall back on the same stand-by. They make a nasty slur about Bush and say Obama is better.
Bush tried to do that for his whole term about Clinton. I guess now we'll get eight more years of the same old same old, but only now the Dems just smearing Bush constantly.
Oh well, with the way Obama and the Democrats are keeping the Republican depression going, soon enough we won't even have TV or power to watch Obama read his teleprompter.
